Primer

Composition:

Amberwood is a protective primer designed to combat wood pests and prevent future infestations. It also inhibits the growth of moss and fungi on wood and mineral surfaces, providing effective protection against decay. Specifically formulated for exterior use, it is suitable for all types of wood. Once completely dry, the primer becomes totally odorless.

Recommended use:

The use of a brush is recommended for the application of ambrewood, ensuring that the wood is clean and dry. For damaged areas, apply undiluted and use a brush to remove excess. For preventive treatment, dilute with water in a 1:6 ratio. For areas at high risk of mold and mildew, dilute to a maximum of 4 volumes of water.

Surface preparation:

Remove dust, debris and any residue from previous coatings. Check that wood moisture content does not exceed 13% before application.

Application:

• Preventive treatment: Apply diluted (1:6) by brush.
• High-risk areas: Dilute in a maximum of 4 volumes of water and apply.
• Damaged areas: Apply undiluted solution and reapply a second coat if necessary.

Consumption:

Average consumption is 160-170 ml/m² for one coat. A trial application is recommended to confirm consumption.

Drying time :

Drying time before applying another coat is 24 hours. After 5 days, decorative paints or finishes can be applied.

Application conditions:

Ambient and surface temperature must be greater than or equal to +10°C.

Characteristics :

• Color: Transparent or green.
• Composition: Water-based biocidal solution.
• Use: Outdoor only.
• Properties: Inhibits the growth of micro-organisms and fungi.

We recommend using a brush to apply AMBERWOOD, ensuring that the wood is clean, dry and has a maximum moisture content of 13%. For preventive treatment, dilute the product with water in a 1:6 ratio and apply with a brush. For areas at high risk of mold and mildew, dilute with a maximum of 4 parts water. Damaged areas require application of the undiluted solution, with a second coat if necessary. Use a brush to remove excess product.

Safety precautions :

• Personal protection: Use gloves, goggles and appropriate clothing when applying.
• Avoid inhalation of vapours. Apply in well-ventilated areas.
• In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary.
• If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and do not induce vomiting.

Care and Cleaning :

• Clean tools with soapy water immediately after use.
• Do not discharge residues into drains or watercourses.

Storage and Keeping :

• Store in tightly closed original container.
• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from frost and direct sunlight.
• Shelf life: 12 months under optimal storage conditions.
